Description

The multi-disciplinary services of GENIVAR have been retained for the construction of a multisport complex in Longueuil. Five playing fields will be developed, and three of them will include a synthetic surface while the two others will have a natural surface. The project also includes a service building and an air-supported structure of 7,500 square meters. An anchor assembly is planned to be installed in order to modify sports activities at will. Most of these activities will be focused on soccer in summertime. The air-supported structure will be equipped with a thermally shielded canvas and a natural gas heating system combined with a pressure control system. An emergency inflation system that also runs on natural gas will maintain air pressure in the event of a power failure. Lighting will be provided by an indirect lighting system consisting of 72 floodlights of 1,000 watts each. The service building will include eight locker rooms for the players, rooms for the coaches and referees, a snack bar, meeting rooms, offices, a sporting goods shop and a physiotherapy clinic.
